  • Team Around the Family (TAF)

    Children, young people and their families sometimes need a little extra support for them to have happy and healthy lives. Team Around the Family (TAF) is an early intervention and prevention service that aims to work with families to help them identify their strengths and needs. TAF will then support them to achieve their individual goals by offering advice, guidance and support. TAF can also support families through the co-ordination of other agencies.

  • Flying Start

    Flying Start is a Early Years Government Funded Programme for families of children under 4—including FREE playgroup places for 2-3 year olds for 2½ hours, 5 days a week.

  • Health visitors

    Health Visitors work with families with children under 5 to help support children get the best start in life. You will be offered a review by your Health Visitor or member of their team either in your home, GP Surgery or Baby Clinic. Your Health Visitor will visit you in line with the Healthy Child Wales Programme and provide key information and advice relating to the age and stage of your child.

    The purpose of the SPOC service is to act as the initial contact for people who require information and advice relating to the health and wellbeing of children, families and adults.

    Based in Morriston Hospital.
    Your GP/Clinician may refer a child for urgent review in PAU.
    On some occasions, a child may have open access so can attend without seeing a clinician.
